GUIDELINES
If you can think it, you can write it. Writing is a conduit from thought to expression. dialect, idiom, language, indigenous, inherant, native, the mother tongue.
Vernacular
is an online literary journal seeking original expressive language- a literary dialogue - written in either poetry, short
fiction or creative non-fiction. Language that expresses the origins of the writer, be it regional or national; domestic or
international; native or learned.
GENERAL:Similtanious submissions are permitted but the editorial committee must
be notified if your work is accepted somewhere else and is no longer available for publication. Full contact information
must be included in your e.mail submission, including full name, e.mail, phone number(s), and street mail address. If any
contact information changes Vernacular must be notified. No changes in the manuscript between the time of submission and
deadline will be accepted. Multiple Submissions are accepted. See Genre Guidelines for information.
All Submissions Must Be Original Work and printing rights must be secured. Poetry - poets may submit up to three
poems.
Short Fiction and Creative Non-fiction - we will accept up to 2 submissions and work that is up to 10 pages.
Submissions must be made electronically only, via e.mail, only. We will accept .doc and rich text files. Please do not include
your submission in the text area of an e.mail as it may interfere with linebreaks and grammar. PLEASE INCLUDE ONE OF THE
FOLLOWING IN THE SUBJECT OF YOUR E.MAIL:"Poetry submission:(your name)", Fiction Submission:(your name) or Creative Non-fiction
