WRITING
AUTOBIOGRAPHY & MEMOIRS
Everyone has a story to tell and you can help them tell it. This workshop will serve both beginning and advanced writers
who want to put their stories on the page and perhaps get it published. Suggested topics can include getting published and
ethics but the main focus of this workshop should be the technique of writing, sequence and how to turn memories into compelling
and unique stories.
THE BUSINESS OF WRITING
We are looking for workshops that address topics such as copyright, publishing a book, publishing a chapbook, publishing in
literary journals, how to find an agent, etc. We are open to proposals. Perhaps you'd like to organize and lead a panel

VISUAL ARTS
ONE DAY TECHNIQUE WORKSHOPS
INTRODUCTION TO A NEW MEDIUM OR TECHNIQUEThis workshop is designed to give working artists a chance to try out a new technique. We are looking for
instructors who are skilled at such mediums as encaustic, gold leaf, marbelizing, and other exciting mediums that may be of
interest. We are open to proposals and ideas.
ONE DAY PAINTING WORKSHOP Workshops
designed to give artists in our ongoing oil & acrylic workshops a chance to work with a different instructor for one day.
Show us your style of painting or how you do it. Do you have a different way of painting with a traditional media that you've
been dying to share with other artists? Perhaps you'd like to do an En Plein Air workshop in Long Island City. Show us your

PROFESSIONAL ART MODELS WANTED
Women's Studio Center is looking for professional art models, to pose for Life Sessions
Wednesdays 4-6 and some Saturdays
11am - 1pm and possible figure drawing and portrait workshops.
To be considered for this position you MUST have previous professional experience modeling at 2 major art schools or
organizations in New York City. No exceptions - we do not have time to train or audition. Please indicate your experience
